Last year, Lenovo held their Tech World event in Beijing, China, but this year they’re bringing it stateside. If you want to see what’s in the future for Lenovo, you’ll need to hit up sunny San Francisco, CA on June 9, 2016.

This year Lenovo is promising that their event is bigger than ever before. They’re teasing Tango reveals and have announced that they will be unveiling a “pioneering blockbuster” for the Moto line. Could this mean that the first consumer-grade Tango device will be a Moto? The event will take place at the Nob Hill Masonic Center, which is right in the beating heart of the City by the Bay

Probably the most anticipated aspect of the event is the hoped-for showcasing of the first consumer-grade device that takes full advantage of Google’s Project Tango. You may recall that Lenovo announced at CES that their partnership with the search giant would be bringing such a product to the market later this summer. Lenovo spokespersons have revealed that this device will be less than 6.5 inches on the diagonal, and that it took more than 5,000 developers to make this project a reality.

Project Tango, in case you’re out of the loop, is a grand system of interconnected technologies that Google has been working on which make a device much more aware of its physical surroundings. 3D mapping, indoor navigation, and the measurement of physical space are just part of what’s possible with Project Tango. These capabilities have extensive applications in both augmented reality and virtual reality.

We’ll be covering the event live, but if you want to be there in person, then you can reserve your spot by heading over to Tech World’s registration page. Let us know what you think of this event in the comments below!
